We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced RVN to join our client’s small animal practice based in West Sussex as their Head Veterinary Nurse.

• Opening Hours Monday – Friday: 8am – 7.30pm

• Opening Hours: 9am – 5pm

• Opening Hours: 10am – 5pm

Experience Required:

• RCVS Registered

• Experience of leading and developing a nurse team

• Experience of proposing and implementing changes

• Experience of working in a hospital environment (Desirable)

• Proven track record of effective team working

You will be joining a fast paced and friendly team responsible for the nursing care of patients. You will have proven experience of leading and developing a nurse team whilst remaining an integral part of their team. You will act as a champion of process improvement and be accountable for the training and development of new and existing team members. You will take the lead of the Nurse Team in the absence of the Nurse Manager and appraisals, recruitment and employee matters.

We are looking for a nurse with a positive attitude who is happy to muck in when needed! Your duties will include assisting the vet where required in surgery, taking x-rays, bloods, monitoring anesthetics, in patient care, nursing clinics, schedule 3 and more!
