We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Vet surgeon to join our client’s small animal group practice in Essex as a permanent member of staff.

Our clients are a three-site group with a hospital in Essex. The vacancy will be based at their main hospital which is within walking distance of the nearest tube station.

This is a full-time position working 4 days (between Monday and Friday) with a full day off every week. Weekend duties are by rota with 1 in 6 full weekends (consulting Saturday 9am-4pm and Sunday 10.30am-12pm) and 1 in 6 Saturday morning (consulting 9-1pm). One evening on call per week, either 7-10pm Monday to Thursday or Fridays from 7-8 pm. Outside these times you will also be responsible for in patients care/liaising with the 24/7 on site nursing team as required by rota system. Practice ambulance available for when on call.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years’ experience and be capable of doing all routine GP work including OOH and emergency work, ideally some in a hospital environment. Your communication skills will be first class - as we pride ourselves on high clinical and customer service standards.

 Salary £50,000.00 to £65,000.00, DOE. Holidays are generous at 6 weeks (24 days plus 8 days bank holidays), Healthshield, Pension, generous CPD, RCVS fees and one other professional subscription paid.
