We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our client’s small animal practice based in North Yorkshire as a permanent member of staff.

Only 122 shifts per year with full time salary.

Vets work sole charge overnight alongside an RVN and an SVN. They care for the in patients as well as any emergencies that call during the night. The caseload is variable and almost always manageable.

The practice is equipped to an excellent standard with 3 theatres (including in theatre X-ray), CT, lap kit, flex/rigid scoping, comprehensive lab. They encourage a high clinical standard and expect their ECC vets to be either certificate holders or keen to undertake a certificate level qualification.

Shift pattern: 7 nights on, 14 nights off (Mon-Fri 8pm-8am, Sat/Sun 6pm-8am)

Salary £48-55K (higher end for cert holder), annualised hours, birthday extra pay, £2k CPD, pension, employee assistance, RCVS fees paid.

We are looking for a good all-round GP Vet, and you will be covering all routine first opinion small animal work with consults and ops where required. You must be able to cover the basic surgeries including Bitch sprays, dog castrates, lump removals among others.
