Our client is a friendly and motivated team of 5 vets in a purpose-built and well-equipped Pet Hospital with a varied caseload beyond any you are likely to see in first-opinion private practice. Support is provided by the team of managers, veterinary nurses, veterinary and animal care assistants and reception team.

Situated in a pleasant area of Dundee they have 4 consulting rooms; 1 clean theatre; large prep area; dog and cat kennelling; X-ray/ultrasound room with digital radiography, endoscopy; piped gases etc.  All their staff have opportunity to work to their full potential with CPD encouraged. Registered Veterinary Nurses routinely perform routine and pet care consultations.

They are an enthusiastic team who are passionate about promoting a healthy life for all our pets by preventing disease, educating owners and treating sick and injured animals. A pragmatic approach to every case is encouraged taking into account the needs of the patient and owner and our own skills and resources.

Typically vets work 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 9am-12pm (with time off in lieu the following week). The out-of-hours service is provided off-site by VetsNow. They provide inpatient cover for any inpatients which cannot be transferred.

About the Role:

They are now seeking a Veterinary Surgeon (VS), the role is responsible for the delivery of an efficient, professional and caring service to PDSA clients, providing a high standard of customer service and clinical care whilst also promoting pet wellbeing and delivering preventive services.

You will be covering all first opinion duties where required and have experience in all basic surgery and good consulting skills. The practice is offering a competitive salary commensurate with experience, a funded CPD package as well as 4 weeks holiday plus bank holidays. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years UK experience.
