One of our long-standing clients, based in Rutland, are looking for 2 x experienced small animal locum veterinary surgeons from mid-October on an ongoing basis.

They are looking for someone experienced in both medicine and surgery to join them. You may also need to support a graduate clinician on OOH duties – if this occurs, the graduate clinician is the ‘first responder’ and will call the duty vet for back-up / guidance when required.

This is a long-established practice with purpose-built premises, they boast extensive hospital facilities and diagnostic equipment. They have an experienced and caring team of vets, nurses and support staff who offer a complete veterinary service from routine examinations, visits, vaccinations etc. to specialist surgery with the very latest state-of-the-art equipment.

• Start Date: Mid-October – Ongoing (at least 3 months)

• OOHs: 1:4 dropping to 1:5 with the 2 locums

• 1 OOH night during the week and 1 weekend in 4/5

• Weekends start at 6pm Friday and finish at 8am Monday – supported by RVN who takes the phone

• Accommodation is available either on-site / off-site (7 minutes’ drive from the practice) – accommodation would be shared if 2 locums require it
