Job Description

An exceptional small animal practice in South Wales is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic full or part time vet surgeon to join a team of 1 full time vet, 2.5 RVN’s, 2 full time SVN’s, 1 VCA and a supportive reception team.

The practice do orthopaedic surgeries and soft tissue surgeries (trauma and non-trauma), heart scans and we see a large number of exotic pets for medical and surgical treatment (from small mammals like rats, guinea pigs to more exotic exotics like sugar gliders, skunks, reptiles, birds (including birds of prey).

The ideal candidate will have good general surgical and medical skills, but the practice is also happy to mentor new grads or support experienced vets with CPD in specific areas of training!

• Permanent vet surgeon position

• Full or part time position considered

• Hours: 40 hours for full-time and 20 – 30 hours for part-time

• 1 in 3 weekends on a rota basis

• No OHH

We are looking for a good all-round GP Vet, and you will be covering all routine first opinion small animal work with consults and ops where required. You must be able to cover the basic surgeries.
