Veterinary Nurse , One year contract, Swansea (KH/14258)
 
Our client is looking to recruit a Qualified Veterinary Nurse (VN) who will provide a high standard of customer service and clinical care whilst promoting pet wellbeing, supporting Veterinary Surgeons to deliver preventive services and to treat sick and injured pets of eligible clients.
 
Working as part of a team that supports in theatre, provides inpatient care and carries out consults, admissions and discharges, the Veterinary Nurses are also involved in dispensing medication, encouraging financial contributions from clients and maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of the hospital and equipment.
 
Depending on the needs of the hospital they have Veterinary Nurses working both full and part time hours, with opportunities for career progression..
 
Excellent hours of work which are 9:00am until 5.30pm, with one 8am start and one 6pm finish a week (lieu time given for any extra time worked) with an hour lunch break and two well-respected 15 minute tea breaks, During the working day boredom is seldom seen and job satisfaction high; with an emphasis on education and preventative treatment which is well received.
 
** Allocated CPD funding of 15 hours

The successful candidate will be a Qualified RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse, expected to keep your professional knowledge updated by taking part in continuous professional development and will be committed to the vision and mission of the practice.
