Are you a passionate vet with 4+ years’ experience and looking for a new exciting role as a senior vet surgeon? Then we may just have the perfect role for you!

We have an unmissable opportunity at a RCVS small animal accredited, independent family run practice in the East London/Essex area. They are seeking a highly motivated small animal senior vet to join their dedicated team.

• Senior vet surgeon position

• Full-time hours

• 100% small animal

• 6-week rota

• 1 in 3 weeks long weekend off

• 1 in 3 weekends on duty

• Competitive salary (relative to experience) + productivity scheme

• No first line on-call duty but on-call backup and support to the vet team doing on-call (one night during the week and 1:3 weekends)

• Support in a multi-vet practice (9 other vets including a Clinical Director, two other Senior Vets, daily clinical rounds)

• Training Practice (TP) accredited

• 15-minute consults

• Administrative Support Team including Insurance Claims Processor

• Nurse in the consult room with the vet 

• Strong client/patient focus

• Broad case load significantly higher than average first opinion practice

• Rehoming program for strays

• Mix of consultations and surgery (get consultation and surgery/inpatient time every day on rota)

• Communication skills vital

   

The practice boasts a loyal client following built on the values they promote. The practice is also fully equipped with lots of toys including digital radiography, ultrasound, hydrotherapy, full in-house Idexx lab equipment.

You will be joining a team of 10 vets (Clinical Director, 3 Senior Vets, 6 Vets) and a visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon and Ophthalmologist, 22 nurses (8 qualified VN’s) and 7 receptionists.
