Permanent Veterinary Nurse Needed for East Lothian Practice (10 miles East of Edinburgh) SN/13968

Our have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join their team. East Lothian is a great place to be, close to Edinburgh, as well as coast & hills.

They are a busy small animal practice providing the ideal opportunity to use your veterinary nursing skills to the full. They are a great, friendly, social team of vets, nurses and support staff.  The team consists of 6 vets, 4 Registered Vet Nurses and 3 Student Vet Nurses. The practice has a full range of surgical and medical facilities and we are also a Veterinary Nursing training practice, so there will be opportunities for student coaching.

They are looking for a team player. You will be a good communicator, having empathy with clients and their pets, and a passion to extend your range of experience, alongside our likeminded team.  The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ small animal experience.

**This is a permanent full-time position of 37.5 hours per week.

**No out of hours and one Saturday morning in 4 for 2.5 hours. Potential for overtime.

**Salary - commensurate with experience; holiday entitlement - 28 days, including 8 public bank holidays, or equivalent of.

**CPD encouraged and funded.  Professional membership fees paid.

You will be covering all nursing duties where required including assisting in surgery, monitoring anesthetics, taking bloods and x-rays, in patient care, critical care, nursing clinics amongst others. The ideal candidates will be hard working, enthusiastic and down-to-earth with a proactive, positive attitude who thrives with a busy caseload. A confident level of general nursing is required and above all else, you will be passionate and dedicated to providing an outstanding service for our clients and their animals.

The practice is offering a competitive salary commensurate with experience, a funded CPD package as well as 4 weeks holiday plus bank holidays. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years UK experience.
