Locum Mixed Vet - dates in March, April, June and July based in Devon (KH/13944)

Our client is currently looking for a mixed vet to locum for their practice during the dates listed below.

Monday 30th March to Saturday 18th April
Monday 1st June to Friday 12th June
Monday 29th June to Thursday 2nd July

They are looking for a locum to join a team of 5 full time and 2 part time vets, with 14 other support staff, working on a equally shared 1:5 rota. Working 5 days a week, with one weeknight a week on call, 1:5 Saturday morning consults and +/- 1:5 weekends on call (if on call the following Friday is given as a day off). Our vets working days begin at 8:30am and end at 6pm. There are often several hours throughout the day of "down time".

In order to help with the oncall the locum must have large animal experience. Backup would be always be available should it be needed. They would consider a small animal locum if a mixed candidate is not available (on call cover would then be unnecessary). Please note we only provide an out of hours service for our own clients.

If the candidate is able to TB test (holds the current OV panels) then the split of farm and small animal work would be 50:50. A car and accommodation could be available should it be required.
