Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and experienced RVN to join a well-established veterinary hospital based in Essex as a full-time member of staff.

Shifts:

• 40-hour week

• 8am-5pm

• 8.30am-5.30pm

• 11am-8pm

• Night shift – 2pm until 9.30am the next day. 

-              When you work a night shift during the week you will have the next day off.

-              Nurses will work one night shift a week and on a rota for weekends.

The practice is a Tier 3 hospital, the night nurse stays at the hospital in a duty bedroom. They have nurses on call until 11pm Monday to Thursday, 8pm on a Friday, 6pm on Saturdays and 1pm on Sunday and bank holidays. However, a nurse always must always be on site to care for the inpatients.

We are seeking someone who is passionate, caring and confident and who has outstanding patient and client care skills to join our loyal team.

We pay for BVNA memberships, RCVS registration, CPD allowances per year, shoe allowance, healthshield, workplace pension, 20 days holiday excluding bank holidays.

We are looking for a nurse with a positive attitude who is happy to muck in when needed! Your duties will include assisting the vet where required in surgery, taking x-rays, bloods, monitoring anaesthetics, in patient care, nursing clinics, schedule 3 and more!
