EDINBURGH - Permanent, Enthusiastic RVN Wanted At Growing Practice (REF: SN/13054)

Our clients are a motivated practice seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their growing surgery.

40 Hours per week role

The bright, air-conditioned surgery is purpose built and has substantial equipment including; digital X-ray, in-house laboratory, ultrasound, dentistry facilities including separate dental x-ray, endoscopy and ECG.  We are a progressive practice and have ambitions to provide first class clinical care and we need great people to join our team. Your role will include carrying out nurse consultations, managing the pharmacy and lab areas, monitoring anaesthetics, preparing patients for surgeries, kennel nursing a wide variety of medical and surgical cases along with the day to day cleaning and upkeep of the practice.

The team are looking for the ideal candidate who wants to put pets first; do what they say they will do; work well as part of the team; want to get better every day; take pride in their work and wants to have fun! You will want to be confident in your own skills, and enjoy the variety provided by the clients and colleagues alike.

You will be part of a dynamic team comprising 7 vets, 10 RVNs, two SVNs, three VCAs, a practice manager & 7 receptionists dedicated to providing superb standards of client and animal care within a friendly team.

You will be covering all nursing duties where required including in patient care, assisting in surgery, monitoring anaesthetics, taking bloods and x-rays, some nursing clinics etc.
