Our client have a great opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their large and friendly team near Horsham in West Sussex.

This role is weekend only, which would be great for someone seeking an excellent work-life balance whilst still having a clinically fulfilling veterinary nurse career.

The nursing team consists of 12 RVN's, 4 SVN's and 2 PCA's. The vet team is 8 strong, and their busy practice is headed up by their Clinical Director, Head Nurse and Practice Manager.

You would be working 18 hours per week (9 hours each on Saturday & Sunday), alternating between weekend day shifts and evening/on-call shifts. The vet handles all of the emergency calls, and you will be assisting the vet with emergencies and nursing the inpatients. They are open on Saturday mornings for consultations where you'll be working with 2 additional nurses/PCA's, 2 vets and a lovely receptionist.

You will be covering all nursing duties where required including assisting in surgery, monitoring anesthetics, taking bloods and x-rays, in patient care, critical care, nursing clinics amongst others. The ideal candidates will be hard working, enthusiastic and down-to-earth with a proactive, positive attitude who thrives with a busy caseload. A confident level of general nursing is required and above all else, you will be passionate and dedicated to providing an outstanding service for our clients and their animals.

The practice is offering a competitive salary commensurate with experience (Pro rata), a funded CPD package as well as 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years UK experience.
