We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our client’s small animal referral centre in West Yorkshire as a permanent Ward Nurse.

This role would suit a dedicated and compassionate RVN who enjoys providing high standards of inpatient care.

Key duties:

• Nursing critical and intensive patients

• Administering medications and carrying out treatments to include drain management, physiotherapy and feeding tubes

• Working as part of a team

• Assisting the case veterinary Surgeon

• Infection control

Previous experience within a referral practice is not essential.

• Start Date: ASAP

• Average of 40 hours per week on wards

• 7.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday

• One week working 12pm – 9pm

• No current weekends or OOH (subject to change due to the growing nature of this practice)

• 4 weeks holiday plus Bank Holidays

• Appealing rota to encourage good work / life balance

• Salary dependent on experience

• CPD allowance and days off to attend

• Minimal OOH due to dedicated night team

• Must be RCVS Registered

We are looking for a nurse with a positive attitude who is happy to muck in when needed! Your duties will include assisting the vet where required in surgery, taking x-rays, bloods, monitoring anesthetics, in patient care, nursing clinics, schedule 3 and more!
