Job Description

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Vet Surgeon to join our clients dedicated team in a small animal practice in Bedfordshire as a locum member of staff starting ASAP, ongoing.

• ASAP start – locum, ongoing (ideally until the end of the year)

• Hours: 9am-7pm Monday – Friday with a 1 hour lunch

• Every other Saturday morning will need to be covered 9am-12pm

• 4 day would be considered but would have to be days that work for the practice, so this would need to be discussed/agreed with our Clinical Director.

• Flexibility to cover existing Vet’s holiday/CPD /Practice Management time – The existing Vet is Practice Manager/Clinical Director and so does need to have 1 day of Admin out of the Practice.

• Sole charge will be expected

• A wide range of surgical experience required

• Candidates will need to provide their own VDS cover

• Accommodation is available in the Practice, but it is basic accommodation in the Practice staff room so no partners or animals

• All applicants need to RCVS Registered

We are looking for a good all-round GP Vet, and you will be covering all routine first opinion small animal work with consults and ops where required. You must be able to cover the basic surgeries.
